Every July, over 120 million people take part in Plastic Free July, a global movement that helps people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, oceans and communities. It is a campaign led by our friends at the Plastic Free Foundation. Each year, people in more than 177 countries around the globe take the challenge and choose to refuse plastics throughout July, and hopefully beyond. Therefore, July is the perfect month to get on board, pledge to say Bye Bye to Plastic and encourage friends, family and colleagues to join you for the challenge!

For all types of businesses, it is also a great time to look at areas throughout your daily operations where you might be able to reduce your single-use plastic use –  from coffee cups, water bottles, plastic bags, cutlery, takeaway containers and the like. To save you some time, we have created a Sustainable Supplier Guide, full of businesses offering you more eco-friendly alternatives and a fact sheet comparing common single-use materials and which ones come out on top!

Check out our resources and suppliers here and don’t forget to make a Bye Bye Plastic pledge if you haven’t already, to get your business featured on our pledge map!

You can find lots of amazing resources over at Plastic Free July to promote taking part in the challenge.

If this is something that you are planning to stick to beyond July (we hope so!) we have created some Bye Bye Plastic window posters to make sure your customers know about it!

Download and print the right poster for you and display it somewhere visible to your customers.
